Secondary notes of whipped brown butter, sugar, nutmeg crumble, morning bakery, cardamom, limestone dust, and amphora.Purple flowers, eucalyptus, grenadine, blackberry, boysenberry. Secondary notes of, saddle, crushed limestone, forest floor, citrus, holiday spice, heavy cream.

    Medium body, luxurious creamy texture integrates seamlessly with vibrant acidity and fine tannins.

  • Wherefore

    Cabernet Sauvignon was the second varietal to appear under our Brown Estate label. Following four vintages of strictly Zinfandel production we began bottling our estate Cab Sauv with the 2000 vintage. This wine is produced from two vineyards blocks on the east side of our property. Our hillside Terraces Block at elevation 1300 feet struggles to yield a few tons of sparsely clustered tiny berries with inky intensity. Our Far East Block, surrounded by oak trees in a protected amphitheater, grows robustly and with minimal intervention. Between the two we have a comprehensive expression of Napa Valley hillside Cabernet Sauvignon the Brown way.
