Background
For our 2021 production cycle we’ve added an “appellation series” of Napa Valley Zinfandel bottlings from four new fruit sources in Calistoga, Oakville, and Yountville. This offering is sourced from two longtime family-owned vineyards on opposite sides of the Valley floor, one bisected by the Napa River, the other in the shadow of The Palisades mountain range. Like its cohorts from Oakville and Yountville, this wine saw just six months in barrel, an approach intended to let the fruit shine. An array of early indicators between nose and palate signal another promising new Brown Zin in the aging.
