2019 Chaos Theory Magnum

  • Notes

NOTES FROM CHRIS GAITHER MS, 01/14/25:

    Eye
    Deep purple core, ruby rim.

    Nose
Confected fruit on the nose, like plum jam, cherry liqueur, and black raspberry pie. Secondary soft notes of vanilla and cinnamon with Italian leather and cherry blossom.

    Palate
Palate is headed towards full body, with great structure. Freshness on the palate lengthens the finish and gives a bit of contrast to the confected fruit on the nose. This wine deserves to have a meal built around it!

    Cellar life
    Drink now through 2035.

  • Background

Chaos Theory began as a one-off blend of Cabernet Sauvignon and Zinfandel that David created for our first participation in the annual Premiere Napa Valley trade auction. It made such a splash he went back to the cellar to dial in the details so we could make it a permanent part of our lineup. Over the years this proprietary blend has become a shape-shifter, each vintage its own unique blend. Such is our journey through the world of wine — a constant adventure that reminds us year in and year out that no matter how random or chaotic things may seem, amidst the mayhem there is reason, if not always rhyme.
